Paganos Is Cooking Up Early Thanksgiving for Project HOME
97.5 The Fanatic and Project HOME to host early Thanksgiving
Philadelphia, PA (November 20, 2014): Hosts and staff of 97.5 The Fanatic will once again be serving dinner to Project HOME, this year serving two of its residences. On Tuesday, November 25th, Thanksgiving dinner will be provided at both James Widener Ray Homes and the newer JBJ Soul HOMES.
“It’s a privilege to once again be a part of this holiday with Project HOME”, said 97.5 The Fanatic’s Program Director, Matt Nahigian. “To be able to provide dinner to two homes this year makes it even more special.”
Project HOME is a non-profit organization tackling the problem of homelessness in Philadelphia via street outreach, supportive housing and comprehensive services.
Paige Dennis, Project HOME’s Volunteer and In-Kind Gifts Coordinator, once again was instrumental in helping the Fanatic organize the dinner. “We are very excited to have 97.5 The Fanatic return to Project HOME to help make Thanksgiving special at our James Widener Ray Homes residence, and doubly excited that they are providing a second dinner at our new JBJ Soul Homes this year. The Thanksgiving dinner they provided last year was a wonderful treat for our residents, and still so much more than just a meal.”
The dinner would not be possible without The Fanatic’s generous corporate partner, Pagano’s Market and Bar who will once again be providing and cooking the turkeys for the dinner as well as providing and preparing all of the sides.
In addition to the dinner, the Fanatic and their midday show of Harry Mayes & Brian Westbrook, as well as the 9am local hour with Tim McManus, will accept food donations at the Hard Rock Café in Center City. Listeners can come out and listen to the live broadcast on Monday, November 24th from 9am – Noon. They are encouraged to drop off items for Thanksgiving dinner such as turkeys and other traditional holiday foods or general food and household items for Project HOME’s pantry. Westbrook and 97.5 will deliver the donations to Project HOME that afternoon.
Listeners who can’t make it out to the broadcast can also show support by making an online donation to Brian Westbrook’s charity, Brian’s Blessings,
The holidays are not the only time the homeless need assistance and Project HOME is always looking for those who can help bring an end to homelessness in Philadelphia. There is a multitude of ways to volunteer and those interested can go to Project HOME’s website and register.
